A New Year Greeting from Penn Hillel Director New Student Week and the first few weeks of classes are incredibly exciting. New students arrive on campus with both excitement along with normal anxieties in starting a new journey. The excitement of new classes, the reconnection with friends, and the anticipation of what the year will bring all are in evidence. The students at Penn are full of youthful enthusiasm and seem to be constantly “running” to the next thing on their to-do lists.read more New Student Orientation at Penn Hillel The school year got off to a great start with the help of the Hillel New Student Orientation (NSO) Committee. From move-in until the start of classes, the committee worked hard to provide programs for incoming students to meet, schmooze, and become introduced to Jewish life on campus.read more Penn Hillel Sponsors the Jewish Renaissance Project The Jewish Renaissance Project (JRP)'s cutting edge methods are reaching more students than ever this year. Breaking the mold of just about every program and initiative on campus, JRP is not a club for students to join; rather, JRP is all about decentralizing and personalizing Jewish experiences.read more Focus First - A College Student Vision Initiative FocusFirst is a program that was started by a Penn alumnus, Stephen Black, in Alabama four years ago.
