Shabbat dinner with talk by Professor Elliot Ratzman

Our weekly community meal to celebrate Shabbat, the day of rest.  We begin with Shabbat rituals including a bit of singing and then candle lighting and blessings over the wine and challah.  Then we eat!
In preparation for Pesah, the commemoration of the Exodus from Egypt, the archetypal freedom struggle, Professor Elliot Ratzman will give a talk about Jewish participation (ranging from the progressive to the radical) in modern American political movements.
