On September 3rd, the second day of classes at Temple University, Temple Students for Israel (TSI) organized "Make Your Own Falafel Dinner." The goal was to reinvigorate the pro Israel community on campus. 50 excited students showed up, expressing great interest in cultural and political Israel programming on campus. The dinner also generated interest for students to go on Taglit: Birthright Israel and study abroad programs students were inspired by personal stories by Lee Schniederman ('09), who had just come back from a trip this summer, and KateLynn Plotnic ('09), who just came back from a semester abroad at Tel Aviv University. Through this event TSI managed to not only excite people about the bountiful Israel opportunities for students, but also recruit new TSI board members.
