Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, for Spring semester projects. Qualified applicants will be invited for short interviews prior to selection for the grant.

Examples of appropriate projects might include – on campus labor organizing; a health, homelessness or education based project; or issue organizing

If selected Grantees will…
• Design and implement one community-organizing project over the course of the semester (concluding by August 2010).

  • Successful projects will engage both Jewish and non-Jewish students on campus, with an emphasis on drawing Jewish students into greater involvement with social justice and providing education on social justice issues.
  • Successful projects will partner with other campus or off-campus organizations to achieve their goals.
  • Grantees will be expected to meet regularly with the director of Tzedek Philly to track the progress of the project and will be responsible for setting and reaching appropriate benchmarks.
